About

This blog is an (infrequently) updated collection of thoughts of an on-again, off-again wrestling fan. As to my background with professional wrestling: I started watching WCW in either 1996 or 1997, and then came back in 1999. Towards the end of that year I got fully swept up into the WWF's Attitude Era and thus contributed to the fall of WCW, which I witnessed live on TV. I was thirteen years old at that time. Those were my middle school years, and they were a grand time for sports entertainment, the dominant meme amongst us junior high school boys trying to find our way into our coming early adulthood.

Since 2002, my overall interest in professional wrestling has tapered off. There are certain peaks and valleys, depending on the paradigm of the time in the WWE.

My favorite wrestlers are (in no particular order):

- Stone Cold Steve Austin
- The Rock
- The Undertaker
- Triple H
- Scott Steiner
- Kane
- Kurt Angle
- Mick Foley
- CM Punk
- Shawn Michaels

All of those preceding gentlemen are guys that always entertained me both in the ring and on the mic, and I watch their matches fondly. You'll also notice that most of them are older. Nevertheless there are quite a few promising young guys coming up, and I lament that WWE has often dropped the ball on them.

What is my take on John Cena? I find him boring. I have nothing against the guy personally and realize he's just doing his job, but I generally can't watch WWE when he's the dominant paradigm. There are many better entertainment options available.

There's my length intro. Have fun.
